How To Prepare For Your Appointment?

• The procedure is outpatient; recovering at home.
• Anesthesia may be used for discomfort in some areas of injection, such as injection into the bladder to relax spasms.
• Any pain or uncomfortable feeling is usually minimal at best. If the small, thin needle our doctor uses makes you uncomfortable, they can use a topical numbing agent to reduce discomfort. Everyone's pain level and tolerance are different. While some can bear a bit of discomfort, others can't.

Recovering From Your Procedure

As with some outpatient procedures, you can return to work or your regular lifestyle with a few modifications. After your procedure, our doctors instruct you not to lie down or sit for extended periods. You should stay upright for three to four hours before relaxing.

Don't rub your injection site for twelve hours, even if it itches.

Don't do any extra exertion for 24 hours.

Rest and allow your body to heal from the procedure.

Know that this procedure is only temporary. You will need to schedule follow-up appointments every three to four months.
